Born in Zagreb.Having graduated from the high school and enrolled the Faculty of Arts(romance languages),he parallelly went to secondary school of music and was admitted to Music Academy in Zagreb. There he in 1982 received his degree in solo singing.
In the period from 1974-1984 he has been awarded at several contests in solo singing,both in Croatia (Karlovac,Rijeka,Zagreb) and abroad (Udine,Italy-“Mario del Monaco” singing contest and Toulouse,France). As early as 1978 he became a member of the Opera ensemble at the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb,and in 1987 he was engaged by the Slovene National Theatre in Maribor as a solo (tenor) singer.He took part in several hundreds of performances of operas,operettas and musicials.At the same time, as a member of the Maribor Society of Music Artists he performed several solo concerts.
He came back to Zagreb in 1994, where he lectured as a professor of music culture at several elementary schools , and in 1988 he returned to the ensemble of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb. Simultaneously, beginning from 1978 until today, he has been regulary performing in concerts of classical,sacral and the so-called popular music,all along Croatia,as well as abroad.
His repertoire includes all styles of vocal music,from the XV. century until today.After becoming a member of the Croatian Society of Music Artist in 2001,he has intensified his giving of concerts,having performed more of 200 solo concerts.
He took part at several television shows of the Croatian National Television Network: “Along our beautiful homeland “(Lijepom našom…); “As time goes by”(Kad vrijeme prolazi); “My players”(Svirci moji),as well as on radio shows at all three channels of the Croatian National Radio Network,and the local radio stations: Sljeme,Samobor,Vrbovec.
Beside his pedagogical activity ,from 2004 he has also begun to compose music. Until now,he has composed 70 songs, mostly on his own verses. These compositions are of various melodic and dialectal expression,and some of them have been performed at several festivals: “VGF” (in Velika Gorica),”Kre Mure i Drave”(Prelog),as well as at the Krapina festival.
Based on what has been said, in 2012. he became a member of the Croatian Society of Composers (HDS).
